That is a GREAT quote from one of my fav books. I have really loved their parenting books.

Yeah, Faber & Mazlich have many useful things to say. The pity is that I too often forget them when my kids are driving me nuts.:-)

I think the only thing one can do is build as many good habits as possible, and then stop to breathe when the kids are driving one nuts. My darling baby girl is now almost 16, and my sweet baby boy is 13 -- and they certainly can drive me nuts some days. Logical consequences and using 'I' statements really have worked well, and the two of them are close, and I credit Siblings w/o Rivalry for a lot of that, and loving them each for who they are :)
