You know, I don't even particularly like horses? Just animals, from where I'm sitting, which is pretty much anywhere not on a horse.

And regardless, that horse is sooooo kyuuuuuute! Awwww. She's just adorable! Lucky Ambar!

Well, it goes back and forth. On the one hand, cats give you results in batches, they only need 63 days of gestation, and the adults don't weigh above 20 lbs. Horses take 11+ months, give you one at a time if you're lucky, and finish out at around 900 lbs.

Is it the directionality of the camera or are those legs egregiously long in comparison to the body?

They're long, by design. Must be able to run away from predators and keep up with the herd within an hour of birth. Note the distance between the knee (or hock) and fetlock (the next joint down), and compare to Mom's -- that bone doesn't grow much, if at all, from foal to mature horse.
