WICHE's Professional Student Exchange Program enables students in 13 western states to enroll in selected out-of-state professional programs usually because those fields of study are not available at public institutions in their home states.
Basically, among the 13 states which are WICHE members, a resident of one state can qualify for resident tuition prices at public schools in the other states. Except "California does not participate as a sending state at this time" (for the PSEP, that is, the professional schools program.) In other words, the only vet school for which I am "in state" is Davis. Yes, that's where I intend to apply anyway, but it would be nice to have a backup school or two that wouldn't cost an arm and a leg. (Colorado, for example, a WICHE member and tops in equine repro.)
Well, la la la. In other news, my advisor agrees that I don't need to bloody myself on p-chem, so I've dropped it and am down to a sensible 12 units.
