The loan check to buy Capucine (from my 401k, a saga that won't be told here) was waiting in my mailbox when I got home last night. Woo!

Now I have a bunch of errands to do that were hanging fire on this check showing up. Vets to pay, haulers to strong-arm, a short but passionate note to write to the seller to enclose with the final check....

There's lots more to write about yesterday, but I will save that for when I can sit down and concentrate. This is not a concentrating mood.

Just remember...if you ever feel you have too many horses...I will selflessly volunteer my services.

Just kidding, I know there's no such thing. Someday...

Sure there is; there's even a word for it. "Horsepoor". :-)

Hey, if you'd ever use your vacation to drive north instead of south, I would be happy to introduce you to the crew. (Although with Petit Point staying in OR to be bred as of 15 August, and Capucine's date of arrival in CA still unknown as she has to be bred as well, I'd recommend waiting for next summer/fall when there are foals on the ground, Goddess willing. :-)

Oooh. Oooh ooh ooh

Actually, we were going to spend a long weekend in the Bay Area in September, but that may be scuttled if Dusty can't get time off (he just started a new job). So I dunno, maybe both? Chibi/Mackey and I both know our way around a horse so we wouldn't do anything stupid.

Arabians are my favorite breed. I always dreamed of having a stable full of them and I know at some point I will. *little girl sigh*

Rollin' rollin' rollin'...

That's wonderful news; I'm so happy for you. If you ever do get so poor that the Atkins diet becomes the Peanut Butter Diet, please do remember your friends who won't let you go hungry.

I presume there's some process for introducing the new mare to the group?

P.S. I don't know the naming conventions, but would one of the new horselings be a "petit foal"? (Hint: Think small confections...)
