everything was upside for the moment
Some days, when I get home (some "weekends", to be precise -- Wednesday and Thursday are my weekend right now), I cannot bring myself to do anything other than alternate noodling on the computer with reading, no matter how many chores beg to be done.

Today is different. I wish I knew why, if only so that I could reproduce the conditions more reliably. In any case, I've been wildly productive.

Did every item on the morning routine, omitting nothing.
Updated Quicken, so I have no receipts in my wallet.
Sat and watched Palisades eat. Put my whole weight on his back a couple of times, in pursuit of my goal of being able to ride him.
Washed out all the plastic garbage cans (much overdue, I might add)
Washed my hairbrush/comb.
Stripped and remade the bed.
Washed, dried, and folded all the laundry.
Cooked a whole cauliflower for later.
Started the roast pork with vinegar in the crockpot.
Scrubbed 12 litterboxes and 4 litterbox hoods.
Made an optometry appointment at Kaiser.
Sent mail requesting a doctor recommendation from a friend.
Sent mail pushing forward negotiations with someone who wants to breed to Palisades using frozen semen.

That's what's done. The wish list is something like:

iron two shirts
write to someone whose Maine Coon (bred by me) apparently died of HCM
make grocery list
go shopping
brush cobwebs off the ceilings
vacuum everywhere
clean bathroom
clean kitchen
dust the rest of the house
hang three pictures which have been sitting on the floor much too long

Tomorrow I need to take the contents of the truck to the dump.

But right now I think I have earned a pot of tea and some assorted noodling.

Re: Spring

Hmm. No, I don't think so; for me it varies wildly from week to week, all year long.

Now, if I tried to plot it against my menstrual cycle, *that* might show something...

Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. See http://members.aol.com/jchinitz/hcm/ for more details.

BTW, her cat isn't closely related to yours, so don't start panicking. (Yours are Jimbo x Gremlin; hers was a full brother to Wendy, so Sundance x Dora. Sundance is known to have died of HCM, and it's believed to inherit as an autosomal dominant.)
