Or, why it's a really good idea to come home and check on things at least once per week:
I came home last night to discover that my water is off. Palisades' stock tank (the much smaller one) is within an inch of normal, so I caught it reasonably quickly. The circuit breakers are all fine, so the panic call to my handyman has been put in and he'll be out when we can actually see what we're doing. Or, rather, when he can see what he's doing, because my finals in Chem are today and tomorrow so I'll be about a hundred miles away.
I'm still a little freaked, because I doubt Palisades' tank holds a week's worth of water for one horse. (Petit Point's probably does.)
