it seems to be the opening of perfectionism season
I've been having a nasty attack all weekend, and was just now struck by the number of people on my friends list recounting similar attacks.

Fretful porpentine indeed. Granted, my mother is visiting in two weeks; granted, I'm four weeks from the end of the semester and unspeakably behind in Chemistry. But neither, nor both together, seems to be a sufficient excuse for the sudden arrival of a disabling amount of will-to-do-nothing, with associated self-loathing.

Could be Seasonal Affective Disorder, or whatever they're calling it these days. There's no way to self diagnose it, but just for kicks, try more brightly lit environments, natural light please, for starters. If that isn't possible, make sure you get out sometime in the morning or mid day and walk around for a few minutes, minimum.

Good luck!
