unnecessary cowardice
or, how to get my attention in a negative sense:

Create an LJ which deliberately disguises your identity. Run across my journal. Let on that you knew me in the past. Refuse, when asked directly, to let me know who you are. Start asking questions about my life and my plans. Be revealed -- because there are some people on LJ who do have the mapping -- to be the one and only one ex with whom I am not on speaking terms, thus neatly reinforcing the idea that it's better not to be on speaking terms with you this decade, either.

So who is this scumbucket and do you want us to have him killed, slowly and excrutiatingly?

No, the takeaway here is "Go ahead with your own life and leave me alone."

Discussed the whole idea of revenge, going out of my way to make people uncomfortable, etc with xthread last night. Came to the conclusion that, deep down, I truly believe that the worst available punishment for such people is to have to live with themselves. Anything I tried to add would hurt me worse than them.

(You may be right, I may be crazy, but it just might be a lunatic you're looking for.)

Plus, I get the impression that this person is really not worth your time or energy, which could be spent on so many other things that you'd actually enjoy.

xthread said much the same, in between giggles at my low simmer. I actually thought of asking you first, but you weren't as handy as he was. :)

Tacky. EXTREMELY tacky.

At least when I try to reconcile with someone, I do it as ME. Not that this sounded like an attempt at reconciliation... it sounds more like creepy stalker-like behavior.

*Big Hugs*

(Oh, and it's really nice to see you posting again! :)

Hm. That is odd. The interesting thing is that he didn't talk to you, befirend, etc. Instead went straight into the pattern of the idiot ex.

*shakes head* People don't change.
